Programs and Services
Adult Day Support
“Caregiver, A Step Up” Adult Day Support Centers support individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We coach practical daily living skills for greater independence, job training for employment possibilities, and integration into the community for social connections.
Our programs are designed to assist individuals in learning new skills and in building on existing skills to facilitate growth. As each person is unique, every program is individually designed to meet their needs and aspirations. Academics, skills reinforcement (including behavioral support strategies), assistance in the use of communication and mobility devices, computer technology, performing arts, social communication and personal care are just a few ways in which Caregiver supports our clients.
Our centers are safe and staffed with personnel that are extensively trained to care for every individual’s needs.
Residential Care
Caregiver works with individuals, their team of professionals, and outside resource agencies to customize residential services to provide the highest possible quality of care. Our services are specifically designed to offer the most support in the least restrictive environment.
We advocate for individuals to participate in decision-making about the services they receive. Along with their team, individuals have the right to choose where they live, travel, shop, and what they want to participate in within their community. All staff are trained in CPR and First Aid, are fingerprinted and undergo BCI background checks prior to working on shift. Additionally, they complete annual and as-needed training to ensure their skills are current to best support the clients. Our staff interacts with each person as an individual and caters to their specific needs and desires. The goal is to support each person’s potential for independence and self-determination.
