Position Summary:
Join our team as a Centralized Scheduling Manager and lead the charge in designing, coordinating, and maintaining efficient staffing schedules across residential group homes and day services programs for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in multiple states. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring consistent, compliant, and person-centered care. You’ll oversee scheduling systems, manage real-time coverage challenges, and collaborate closely with regional teams to optimize our workforce.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee centralized scheduling strategies for staff across multiple states.
  • Maintain real-time staffing schedules using agency-approved platforms.
  • Monitor shift coverage to meet service plans and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with local leadership to address staffing shortages and scheduling gaps.
  • Ensure compliance with state-specific staffing mandates and regulations.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and integrate staff into schedules efficiently.
  • Utilize workforce management software to analyze trends and optimize staff utilization.
  • Produce and share scheduling metrics and propose enhancements based on data insights.
  • Participate in or manage after-hours/on-call schedules to address urgent staffing needs.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health or Human Services, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (or relevant experience).
  • 3–5 years of workforce scheduling experience in human services or healthcare, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Experience with residential and day habilitation programs for individuals with IDD.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and understanding of workforce regulations in multi-state environments.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure and maintain high standards for accuracy and accountability.
 
Work Environment:
  • Hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days in-office.
  • Occasional travel to residential and day sites across different states (up to 25%).
  • Availability to support after-hours scheduling emergencies or serve on on-call rotation.
