Welcome to River Gardens
River Gardens is a residential facility offering intermediate care facility (ICF/IID) services. We are proud that many of the individuals for whom we provide support have successfully transitioned into smaller group homes, HCS programs, or returned to live with their family after acquiring independent living skills with our support.
We also provide support to people who live in our ICF/IID group homes.
The River Gardens History
Our roots in the community go back to 1981 when River Gardens was developed on a large acreage sight which promotes freedom of movement and self-direction for the individuals who live here. This exceptional location affords us access to the urban community while allowing ample space for on-campus sports, recreational, vocational, and educational activities. Today we continue our services as part of the Caregiver, Inc. family of care services.
River Gardens is an Intermediate Care Facility for persons with intellectual disabilities. Our guiding values are:
We believe in recruiting, training and developing the best people to support the individuals we serve; enabling them with tools and technology to provide individualized supports.
We care deeply about the people we serve and strive to serve their unique goals and dreams.
We work with integrity, accountability, transparency, and compassion in everything we do, because we understand those we serve have a choice in providers.
We believe first in the dignity of all individuals. It adheres to the philosophy that persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the right and opportunity to care and treatment which enables them to reach their fullest potential and to enjoy a productive and independent life.
The mission of River Gardens is, “Enabling people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead their unique lives with dignity, independence and inclusion”.
Our goal is to provide an environment which offers persons with intellectual disabilities the opportunity of normal daily living in the community.
