Financial Analyst


The Financial Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing business results and trends, providing financial decision support, budgeting/forecasting and driving business results through the identification of productivity, operational efficiency, and process improvement opportunities. Must be able to thrive in a collaborative environment and possess the ability to influence operations and finance leaders. In addition, the Financial Operations Analyst will effectively communicate financial results and analysis outputs to executive level audiences. There is a heavy focus on providing operational support and providing consistent actionable insights. This position requires exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate results in a clear and concise manner.

  • Responsible for analysis and interpretation of complex financial information utilizing independent judgment and discretion, identifies trends, variances, and key issues and provides recommendations for adjustment
  • Focused on supporting the operations in Texas.
  • Create and produce operational reports on P&L segments including, but not limited to payroll, revenue, contract services, and purchasing
  • Deliver innovative, high value-added financial information and supporting analysis to the management team for strategic planning and decision making
  • Lead a broad range of ad-hoc projects focused on reducing costs and driving operational efficiencies
  • Provide financial support to the organization
  • Participate in the annual planning process and routine forecasts
  • Help support Executive performance reports and ensure information is complete and accurate
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes and reporting
  • Monitor detailed P&L for accuracy
  • Assist with weekly cash forecasting
  • Perform daily census and periodic billed units reporting
  • Perform various ad hoc analyses as requested
  • Develop working knowledge of billing regulations for each market served and apply as needed
  • Monitor billable activity to make sure that all services are being billed timely
  • Periodically verify certain information necessary to support billable claims and share with State Director and Director of Finance
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, or related field
  • 3+ years related experience
