Behavior Support Provider Supervisor II
Position Summary
The Behavior Support Provider Supervisor II will be responsible for the oversight of a behavioral support provider (BES) team providing services individuals with an intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) or related condition. BES Supervisor II will provide supervision through mentoring, monitoring, and providing adequate direction to BES. The duties include directly providing services individuals. The BES Supervisor II will be responsible for knowing and following the pertinent rules and regulations in the Texas Administration Code for all waivers, as well as local and Caregiver’s policies.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide training to BES with caseload management, modeling appropriate techniques, brainstorming strategies when working with individuals, and accessing needed resources. Support will be provided via phone calls, virtual face to face calls if needed, emails, or in-person.
- Monitor BSP’s productivity percentage weekly and report to the Director of Behavioral services.
- Provide on-going and/or as needed coaching on time management and quality documentation for BES.
- Approve and monitor service delivery logs and support assessments developed by BES.
- Approve allowable time off (ATO), mileage, timecards, and expenses per the company’s policies and procedures.
- Implement appropriate corrective action plans and support for BES falling subpar of productivity and/or quality of care.
- Facilitate team meetings at least once a month for BES and assess the need for additional meetings.
- Facilitate individual supervision conferences with BES as determined by the supervisor.
- Complete routine audits of documents needed for state surveys per state regulations and attend survey visits as directed.
- Assist with accurately ensuring new hires are developed and trained, per HHSC regulations and provide additional support once new hire training is completed.
- Provide and monitor ongoing in-services training and education for operations staff on general and individual based behavioral plans, concepts and procedures for functional behavioral analysis, methods for gathering and summarizing behavioral data, and implementation of strategies on working with individuals.
- Support new BES with training and mentoring as directed
- Collaborate with individuals with an intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) or related condition, their families, and treatment teams to develop and monitor behavior support plans. Plans will be written in compliance with HHSC guidelines and codes related to individuals with IDD.
- Systematically evaluates efficacy of plans and makes revisions as needed.
- Perform direct observations of individuals for behavioral assessment and development
Qualifications and Education
- Must have at least a master’s degree in Psychology, Social work, Special Education, or related field from an accredited university as well as a clear license to practice in the state of Texas as an LPC, or LCSW
- A licensed clinical social worker in accordance with Chapter 501 of the Texas Occupations Codes
- A licensed professional counselor in accordance with Chapter 501 of the Texas Occupations Codes
- Must possess one year experience working with the individual with intellectual delays
