(Nashville, TN…) William Blank, Regional Director for Caregiver, Inc., in Indiana, Ohio and Tennessee, has announced that Melanie Morris has joined the company as State Director of Indiana.
A seasoned leader with 25 years of service to the medically fragile, aging, disabled and their caregivers, Melanie Morris (right) has expertise in multi-site business start-ups, healthcare technology innovation, Medicare/Medicaid, business development and operational/clinical excellence.
“She is a pacesetter in the industry,” said Blank. “Her history in long term care, in-patient/out-patient acute care, acute rehabilitation and home and community-based services provides a strong foundation for her work with us.”
Previously, she worked for more than 10 years at St. Vincent/Ascension Health and most recently as the Northeast Indiana District Manager at Seniorlink/Caregiver Homes, Boston, MA. Morris was a District Manager for one of the largest territories in the state; in five years, her district was serving 500 clients. In 2015, she led her team and organization through the successful pilot and launch of an innovative HIPAA protected communication platform, utilized by professionals and in-home family caregivers across the network in seven states.
Melanie Morris is a Licensed Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Ball State University and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Anderson University. She and Duane, her husband of 24 years, were both raised in the Madison/Delaware County area of Indiana and are now raising their family there, too.
“Melanie Morris is recognized as a servant leader,” emphasized Blank. “She has mastered the delicate balance of advocacy for at-risk populations and operational excellence.”
